Mom unfortunately passed away last month at the Gardens. They took very good care of her. Everyone was friendly, caring and Mom felt each one was her friend. I would definitely recommend this facility to anybody looking for care for their loved ones.

My mom moved into The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. It's ten minutes from my house and from my grandchildren, and that was a big thing. If she would have to go into assisted living, she does not need to move from the apartment that she's in, and that was a big plus. They have a beautician that comes in by appointment. They also have a bath technician by appointment, where you can have a spa-type thing that my mom was really excited about. They have activities that you can go to. They have a community area wher…

CriticalThis facility is beautiful and it was pretty good for my loved one. The staff seemed overworked and took awhile to respond at times. They tried to get things accomplished, they were just really short handed. Getting ahold of the manager was a challenge because she was spread so thin. The Aides did an excellent job. The people are very friendly. Communication could be better between the staff and the patient/family. The care is generally good, although they're short-staffed like every place right now, so the wait time for our loved one to receive help is longer than we appreciate. But they do a good job overall.
