My brother was in there for 2 months. My husband and I went to visit about 6 places recommended by A Place For Mom who was so helpful to us. The Goldton was the nicest in St. Petersburg as I my brother wanted to stay in St. Petersburg. The apartment size was good with a small kitchen area and microwave. Shower was big. The only issue was that we did not know that it was unfurnished as on our tour, we saw the model room. The Goldton helped supply his room with a single bed and a few other things. We then brought …

PositiveA Great Fit for My Dad
We’ve had a really good experience with Memory Care at The Goldton. Being close to the VA is a big plus for our family. The staff has taken the time to get to know my dad and his personality, and he especially likes [name removed]. Dad is always hungry, so he definitely enjoys the food and looks forward to mealtime! He also loves being able to go outside, sit in the shade, and get some fresh air. Communication has been good and keeps us informed. Most importantly, Dad seems comfortable, happy, and well cared for.

Overall, the place is nice for being a Medicaid facility. It's clean and the apartment size is nice again for Medicaid, no roommates. There's a small patio off the back. Activities are nice as well as outings. Admin leadership has high turnover which has been frustrating to keep up with. Overall their care team is understaffed and underpaid like most other healthcare places. Food wasn't great but it's getting better with new chef
