Our Experience

At The Hearth on James, the staff is their biggest asset. They got to know my parents well, as well as family coming to visit. Both of my parents have had hospitalizations since being there and the nurses were right on it, informing family and meeting our needs. Financially, it is a great value for the room size and the activities offered, compared to a few other places that I looked at. I enthusiastically recommend The Hearth on James! When I first walked in the door for my tour, I was greeted by [name removed] at the desk, Christmas Carol's and engaged residents in the parlor for morning exercises. I felt welcome immediately! I knew the smaller setting and friendly, active residents and staff, offered the very sense of community that my uncle would enjoy. Exceeds Expectations

They are fabulous! We are very happy with The Hearth on James!! It exceeded my expectations. The communication from staff is what makes all the difference.

It was nice but did not seem to be a safe space for my loved one. I had security concerns.

Very kind and compassionate care

They are easy to work with, they were kind. They helped us through some difficult choices. My mom didn't end up staying there very long, but they were always willing to assist. They were constantly giving feedback. Overall, a very good group of people.
