I typically dont write reviews and have never been involved in an incident where I feel like I've been scammed until now. My father was evaluated and put into assisted living at bear trail. I did not want to go to bear trail because of all the add on costs and services. This is customary in assisted living so no surprises there. I had the option to go to another center with one price. Great Experience for Mom and Dad

My mother has been living at the Inn at Bear Trail for nearly two years since my stepfather passed away, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care she has received. The food is excellent, she has made friends, participates in various activities, and is surrounded by love and support. Due to the positive experience we've had with my mom, I have now moved my dad in as well. The staff has been incredibly welcoming and is helping him settle in while addressing his needs. Inn at Bear Trail

Her sheets were stained whenever we visited. Near the end, hospice was the greatest advocate for her. They would always visit her and hug on her and wipe her more often. I think she died in peace. No one was ever mean, they just didn't supply her basic needs, like attention. I think her being ambulatory didn't help. Those people get the most attention. I think their all caring companies, but they don't hire enough staff with a big enough hourly wage to really care too much. As long as the top brass gets their cut. …

Care

My mom is in the Special Care Memory Care at The Inn at Bear Trail. I do not know much about the other areas. The Memory Care unit is clean and the staff is nice, but they just don't have enough staff all the time. I'm not sure if that is uncommon in the current economy. They do very little in my mom's area because the majority have hospice, too.

Still Looking for Improvements With Activities

This is a nice looking community. The staff don't seem to interacting with my loved one, anytime I visit my loved one. They seem to spend a lot of the time with the residents that are not ambulatory. It would be nice to know more about the attention my loved one is receiving. There are three meals a day served and there are choices for the residents to from. We are very pleased with the way that our loved one is taken care of. She is very happy there. I think the meals are fantastic and all of the services (including church) and activities are very well run. They have so many to choose from.
