I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved to The Oaks Manor. They are all very kind and they treat everybody like family. The food is great there, it's geared for older people. It's light, it's not heavy, it's homemade. They're just very caring people. They do have people that come in and play the piano, and they do have bingo. They do have other people that come in and do music and things like that. They do have a church service. They have puzzles and books. They have movie nights and popcorn and different things like…

Good option

At The Oaks, there is not a nurse on staff. So family members have to ensure that pill boxes are filled. You will want to have multiple pill boxes in the event you live many miles away. They are quaint and have a small group of residents. I would recommend them as long as you didn't live too far away.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I stayed at The Oaks Manor for 10 days in respite care. I toured it and I put down $500 that very day because I loved it. We had lunch over there. They were all very nice, and they didn't want me to leave. The food was wonderful over there. I gained weight and I ate good. They had wonderful cooks. They had homemade desserts. It was so good, but I didn't have the full meal because I just stayed for respite there. My room was very nice. It had a nice bathroom off the bedroom door. It had a microwave, a sink…

I visited this facility

Family environment, supported by an extremely caring staff. The facility is extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Our mother’s safety and well being are their top priority and it shows.

Mom loves it there

We initially feared Mom would not like being in assisted living, but she absolutely loves it at the Oaks Manor. When we do get her out for the day she is always ready to get back. She always mentions how safe she feels being there. The employees go way above and beyond what is expected and genuinely care about the welfare of their residents. Mom can select what she wants to eat, and she is always taking part in some kind of activity or another. I don't think she realized how alone she was staying at home by herself…
