CriticalThey're not interested in caring for seniors. When I asked them to stop leaving my dad's oxygen machine unplugged and to not raise his room temperature to 86F, they told me it wasn't a hospital. It's a miracle he survived there as long as he did.

Positivethe following comments are based on our sister's perceptions, visits, interactions with staff, etc. over the past few months since admission. Re: Room: size is ok, but dark. Brother spends most time in chairs available outside of room and in sunny spots. Staff/care: staff are friendly and attentive and caring. They appear to be capable of handling problems, e.g., using distraction with other residents who are prone to shouting/short tempers. Activities: staff routinely invite brother to activities, he participates …

PositiveI cannot get over how GENUINELY friendly, warm, and caring the staff is. The food is exceptionally good. There are specials for breakfast lunch and dinner every day along with an extensive and delicious menu one can always order from if the specials don't appeal. The residents at The Point are also quite friendly and do reach out to new people. They really seem to think of themselves as a community. Every unit has its own outside balcony, which is a nice feature. The weekly room cleaning and laundry service is …

CriticalWe visited the assisted living at The Point at Rockridge, and then we went over to the member care side. The rooms are nice. They demonstrated they care for those who have memory care issues. The not-so- good part is that the memory care side is not lively. You can tell the mood changes. It's not as bright and not as nice. I would have liked to see more activities or things. It felt like the community was a bit different in memory care versus the non-memory care. The staff was great. It was clean. Maybe the me…

CriticalThe staff was really nice and residents seemed happy. Many of the communal spaces were great and others were less cheery. Each unit gets a little balcony- so cool! I haven't toured many places so I don't know if this is common, but the resident floors smelled quite bad. I also can't comment on value because I'm at the beginning of my search.

PositiveThe Point is a very friendly, compassionate, and well managed community. The activities are excellent. There is an on-site gym, and an on-site physical therapist, Tom, who runs classes and gives individual attention. The staff is terrific. The nurse, Rob, is knowledgable and dedicated. He's always available to answer questions. The facility is well maintained and always looks good. The rooms are really nice. There is a lot of light. The dining experience is great. Besides serving good food, a sense of communit…
