PositiveThe Pointe at Pontiac was clean. The people were nice. It was accessible straight from the interstate. It was inviting, too. We were hopeful that we were going to get into that one, but we couldn't. The staff we met was exciting. They wanted to be there to work with the individuals. I thought they had done a great job from what we could see. We had applied to go to them, but they denied us because my mom would occasionally get a bladder infection, and she would also have some hallucinations, and they said that…

PositiveWhat our family likes the most about The Pointe at Pontiac is the great communication, my mother is no longer there-moved to memory care so we were sad to see her move. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
★★★★★
PositiveIt's very clean and a good atmosphere overall. The last 2 months, there have been some staff changes in all departments. I think they're just going through growing pains right now, which is understandable. It's still a great place and the residents' needs are being met. They just have to get through the transition period. It seems like they're starting to get it worked out. The food has been up and down also because of it. It used to be great, but it's a hit or miss now. Again, due to staff shortages and probably a…

PositiveWe chose The Pointe at Pontiac because of the cleanliness of the facility and the way it was laid out was easy for her to get around and all of her needs were met without her having to go far. I cannot think of a bad thing to say about them and I would definitely recommend to others looking.

PositiveMy tour at The Pointe at Pontiac was good, but the problem with that was that it's probably 400 square feet, and it just wasn't enough room. To move from a big house into this suportive living place, it was too small. It's a really nice place, but it was just too small for what I need now. They provide all of your meals, snacks, and meds, but it was too drastic of a move from my big house to this. The administrator that I spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable. This place was newly built in 2009/…

PositiveMy aunt stayed at The Pointe in Pontiac for 7 months up until her passing. It was a great facility with people who cared, the employees went above and beyond to make sure her needs were met . The number one reason for choosing them was because for a monthly fee you can have a pet in your room, so she didn’t have to leave her beloved cat behind! They have lots of activities going on too!
