I visited Symphony Northwoods in the dementia care/long-term care unit. It's a secure environment. I noticed that the people seemed to be happy there. I toured the main area and then the first level, where I saw the rooms and the activity room, the lunchroom, the little store that they have, and the washing facility where the clothes are washed. The staff explained everything very excellently. They're very nice people there. I think that my brother-in-law would be comfortable there, and it would be conven…

I went to see Symphony Northwoods and I was not impressed with that place at all. I saw some residents sitting at a table with some papers in front of them like they were coloring. And then there were some residents just watching TV. We went upstairs to the memory care facility. They have a closed locked upstairs, and you have to have a special code to get to the elevator.

Not a place for your loved one or ANYONE !!! Worst Rehabilitation center !! With in a week I noticed a big change in my mom. THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE!..Her feet got very swollen because she sat in a wheel chair all day.. she got a bed sore never ever had one before. ...They placed her in a Wheelchair for hours ~same spot same diper her pants were soaked...They have no knowledge of Progress report ..No encouragement.. Rooms are dark and need up dating ~ Cafeteria small and not worth cooking for anyone. This location …

This place is a last resort to put your loved one. We were unhappy with the care my father received at this facility and worked hard to get him out of there. He hated it and so did we. Staff routinely ignores call buttons for lengthy periods of time. I have seen as many as 6 call lights going off for more than half an hour with staff sitting at the desk completely ignoring them. Air conditioning unit leaks all over the facility, including my Dad’s room. His poor roommate had to sleep by the bed with the dripping wa…

We had to get my mother in a Medicaid bed, and she is now at Northwoods. We took her there during the middle of October. As far as the facility goes, I really like it. She is in better health. They have remodeled part of the building, and she is in the remodeled part, which is a four-bed ward. As far as the facility and room go, everything is kept clean and neat. She is diabetic, and the first week she was at Northwoods, she had an incident where her blood sugar dropped, and apparently they check up on the patients…
