I visited this facility

I toured The Stewart House. I like the concept, but they're a bit rough around the edges as far as the facility. It's kind of run-down a bit. It needs updating. The staff seemed to be pretty good. The director walked me through and explained everything. She did a great job at that. She gave me all the information that I would need. It was clean, but it needs updating. It's like a dinginess to it. It needs new carpeting, new paint, and stuff like that on the inside.

The Stewart House was good. I don't find any faults there. They didn't have a lot of available though, and I wasn't quite sure if they could meet my dad's needs. And for everything that you need assisted living for, they charge. Like they charge you as they lay medicine out. It's always an up-charge for things. The place was clean. The apartment was good and spacious. The staff who gave the tour wasn't quite as helpful as the other lady, but I'm sure she did her best. They have ar…

I visited The Stewart House's assisted living. I remember it to be very nice and very clean. All the tenants have their own bedrooms, some of them even have a porch. It has a nice outside atrium type of area which is very nice too. The only thing about it is that in case somebody was in a wheelchair, they had to go up a ramp to get from their room to the dining hall. There's just a slight incline there that would probably require some assistance. Other than that, the facilities were fine.

My mother has been at the Steward House since Thanksgiving this year. She and our family have been extremely pleased with her accommodations and lifestyle. She is 94 and doesn't participate in many of the activities other than the church services. Her room is beautiful and always clean. Her bathroom has all of the facilities necessary for an elderly person. Plus, she as a private patio off of her room. The beautiful Stewart house was originally built by/ belonged to my Great Uncle Horace S. His brother, Wiley S, built a comparably beautiful house several doors down the street, having been destroyed with road construction. Most of my knowledge of that time was via my Grandmother Stewart, also my Aunt Martha S & father,Wiley Stewart H., tho I do vaguely recall visiting both houses when small. As the Stewart Family line is dwindling , they would be delighted with knowing such a loving environment is now provided…
