PositiveThe staff at The Wellington is very hands all. They are very good at keeping mom engaged and understanding if she is sometimes cranky or disoriented or disinterested in eating they are great at helping her through these moments. The common room is always cleaned and no offensive smells - hope that makes sense. Her apartment fits her perfectly. The family had to remove some of the heavier glass objects because she was knocking them over and it was a safety issue. Mom stays clean with the help of a great and attentiv…

PositiveMom is very happy here. Her complaint about the food is that the vegetables tend to be overcooked, a pretty minor issue in her and my, assessment. This is really a great fit.

PositiveI really liked the open spaces for community gatherings. The couple of apartments I saw were nice and roomy. If I decide on independent living, the Wellington will be at the top of my list.

PositiveOverall, this has been a great choice for dad. The entire staff at The Wellington are responsive kind and caring. The food is delicious and the kitchen team and servers know residents by name. They take pride in their work. The apartment is larger than I expected. This helped as my mother passed the same day dad moved in. We were able to hang pictures to make it feel like my mom had decorated it for him. The walk- in closet is particularly large as well. Dad has not taken advantage of activities yet, but they ha…

PositiveIt's very friendly and easy to get help when needed. Staff is easy to get in touch with and work with. The only problem is that the meals are substandard and there is not enough staff in the dining room. Also I haven't noticed any bus trips scheduled for various events. [name removed] says the bus is broken and she doesn't think they plan to repair it.
★★★★★
PositiveOverall, I would give the Wellington a 5! There were lots of misdirection's in the beginning, we thought about choosing another place due to the misinformation in the beginning, but we're so glad we stayed. Their activities director, Margie, is the best!
