CriticalVery disappointing experience
This assisted living does not adequately take care of memory care needs for residents with Alzheimer’s or Dementia diseases, although they charge them with higher level rates. My mother’s rent was increased three levels in three months, housekeeping did not keep her room clean, my mother was not kept clean, and the food is awful. Very disappointing!

We visited The Wyngate Parkersburg assisted living because their independent living was cottages and they have a very long waiting list there. It looked like a very nice place to be, but the rooms were very small and it was darker. The personnel that we dealt with while she was polite and informative, I didn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling with her. It probably would have been our second choice, but only under the condition that we would be put in an assisted living apartment until an independent became available.…

My father-in-law is at The Wyngate Parkersburg. It is a really nice facility. I wanted an atmosphere that was not like a nursing home. I want people sitting out in the halls. The rooms are a lot nicer and bigger. It is costly. When you look at the other places, it's not really that costly. It is clean. It is a nice facility. They are very friendly, and they would go out of their way to help you. They have been great with my father-in-law. He is not eating well, but it is not their fault. They have activities e…

PositiveThe Wyngate Senior Living Community
My friend moved here and we have heard they liked it. He is no longer at the community, but his wife still is and seems to be very happy with it. They have activities available, which I have heard are good. During the the Covid-19 pandemic, they actually had the staff move into the community, so they would limit their outside exposure and protect the residents. The one niece who is in charge of all my friend's financial services is very happy with it. The staff is very friendly with her and she seems to like them.
