Really a great place!

The staff is very caring/ responsive. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. Food is OK/good. A comfortable, safe and welcoming environment for loved ones. So glad we found this little spot! Definitely a family friendly choice.

A Place for Mom set up an appointment for my husband and me with the administrator of Townsend House in Chico CA. We were very impressed with the kindness and dedication that was demonstrated by the administrator and staff. Townsend House is a small assisted living facility that feels very comfortable. The staff was genuinely concerned about our needs. My mother is very happy at this facility. They have lots of activities. The facility is very clean and well staffed. The staff communicates well, and I even receive texts. My mother loves the food and says everyone treats her well. I see my mother almost daily, and there is no issue whenever I decide to stop by.

I liked Townsend House. Of all the ones I looked at here in Chico, it had everything I wanted and I felt it was comfortable. It was on one level, and we didn't feel isolated. The rooms were nice sized and they were all on the bottom level. I liked the atmosphere. It had a more open feel to it. They had a way of setting the temperature for each room. Townsend House is a single-storied, smaller place where everybody knows everybody. My mom has been there for a month, and we have not had any problems. It has a family environment.

I really liked the gal I talked to, I think she was the administrator. She was nice but I just didn't think this place would work for Helen. It was just a matter of personal preference.
