I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We chose Valley House for my mother-in-law. The location worked for us because it was close right there in Castle Rock. It's a smaller facility with only 25 residents, so we felt she was gonna get the personal attention that she needs right now with her dementia. It was also in our price range. It's a very comfortable looking facility, clean and well-kept. The staff is really friendly. We have no complaints at this point. She's been in quarantine, so she's been in her room, and the staff has jus…

Very nice "homey" feel. Staff very kind and caring with residents. On the negative side - they can't guarantee aging in place to death. There is a potential that if a resident requires lift/transfer that they would request the family to move the patient. Rooms were adequate in size w/ample closet space. Residents seemed very happy.

We really like Valley House, I think the staff is awesome, and we're very pleased with the location. The food must be pretty good because my mother-in-law cleans her plate, which was not the case before. Their amenities are very good, and all the staff members we met were very helpful and friendly. So far the residents have been quite nice to talk to and seem to be genuinely caring. It's just a small community with about 22 residents, but they have a lot of activities and things to do. They're so goo…

Homey, spacious, and bright

When I first started looking at communities for my Mom, I liked that they were one of my cheaper options compared to everything else that I’ve looked and they have 3 different facilities. When I walked in I got more of a homey feel. Everything is spacious, bright and open. All of the rooms are picked up every single day with a complete cleaning once a week. The other really good thing is that they have really big bathrooms so it’s more wheelchair accessible. The food is good here and they serve 3 meals a day with s…

I visited this facility

Valley House is really nice, and the staff is very professional. It is in a residential area with large trees in a garden. It looks like a home, so it's very homey. It's clean, and we interacted with the residents and talked with the chef. They play bingo, have barbeques and parties, and go on tours.

The residents aren't active enough for my mom.
