Vernon Green had the most compassionate staff I have seen. I, unfortunately, had to have my grandfather placed in a facility for the last few weeks of his life. I felt extremely guilty because I had promised him I would never do this. His doctor and I decided this was the right route to take to re-evaluate his medications and hopefully get him on the right track. The facilities at the Vernon Green Nursing home are not beautiful, however they are far from the worst I have ever seen. As an Emergency Medical Professional and I have seen a lot of facilities in New England. The staff is charming and caring. If they are guilty of anything it would be that they actually call for an ambulance when one is not needed. The staff would rather send the resident to be examined as opposed to taking the risk that there could be something wrong. The rooms at the facility are quite nice, not…
