I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was a resident of Vista Prairie at Windmill Ponds. The thing I like best is that she is not alone. They checked on her often and they ate meals together, so that would give her some sociality as well, even though she didn't take part in a lot of the activities because she was close to 100 years old when she passed away, but just the time together with staff and with people that she ate with, made it more fun for her. Good fit for us

They are very patient especially with people like my dad who can be difficult at times Good communication with staff. They really care and get to know residents. As a caretaker I enjoy going there and feel comfortable in the facility visiting. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and provides a great experience.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been at Windmill Ponds for almost a year and has felt loved and cared for there. Staff are so helpful and caring, and make the residents feel so special. Throughout the summer and fall there were outside spaces with lawn furniture where my mom loved sitting and enjoying the outdoors. Now that it's colder, there are long hallways to walk, as well as exercise sessions each weekday morning. Quality care in a lovely atmosphere.

Actual tours are helpful to actually see tenants in the environment and meet some of the staff. I had an excellent experience with Windmill Ponds.

Would Recommend

The staff is welcoming and friendly. The facility is clean and well kept. They also have a Facebook page that showcases the latest news and activities - I love being able to spot my dad in the photos having a great time at the various activities.

A nice quiet transition for senior

The first tier of assisted living I thought they would get more for the cost. I would recommend this community. In general it is in a good location and it was easy to transition my loved ones. It is also a very quiet and peaceful community for your loved one. The food is good but my loved ones do wish that they had more options to pick from for meals. My parents do also tell me that the staff are friendly.
