We have been very happy overall with our mom's living arrangements at Oakwood Village. She is very safe and well looked after. Sherita is very very and is always looking out for our mom. The food is very good and better than most places around. Her place is maintained every week and kept clean. When we are not here we can feel at ease knowing she is safe and well looked after while living independently. I would recommend them community to others.

excellent staff great place

The rooms at Oakwood are nice. Plenty of room for 2 and the smaller rooms are still plenty big. They have bingo and social activities everyday. The staff are excellent. They are always updating the facilities. They keep you by text on anything going on or happening. We really like [name removed] and she try's to make her residents feel like they are the best.

My dad lived there for 11 years. He went from 185 pounds to 269 with the wrong diet.They say they serve nutritional meals they do not. They feed diabetes straight sugar. He has fallen numerous times and did not report it to us. One of the staffed called and she was threatened to be fired if she did it again. His falls resulting in several hospital stays in his years at oakwood, including broken bones. He begged the nurse for his medication and was denied when his bloodsugar was over 300. Loving, truthful and real

At Oakwood Village the memory care workers have a special gift dealing with their patients. Some dementia patients get mean with their mouths at times but the workers continue loving them daily. I like how the workers will fill us in on what's going on with our loved one whether it's good or bad. We were told by a nursing home staff that my MIL could never go into an assisted living.
