Review of Water’s Edge Our family’s recent experience with Water’s Edge was deeply disappointing and fell far below the standard of care we were promised during the referral process. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby, which created an unwelcoming and unpleasant first impression. I was a patient for two years. You should run, not walk from this place. The rooms are dark and dank with the halls reeking of excrement and urine. The noise levels of frustrated patients ring in your ears as staff routinely do nothing. The food is just awful with things like chicken Alfredo, where the noodles cooked to mush. Their rehabilitation program is a joke. There are some staff that do actually care but the have such a high rate of turn over or they fire the good ones. Most aides do not answer the lights in…

Waters Edge Rehab and Care Center is quite a large place and they offer full range of care in PT, OT, podiatry, dentistry, psychology, and eye care. They are going to be under new management and they will be updating some things in their place. It was an older place, but their food is good and they're very helpful and nice to their patients.

My wife was here more then once. Previous management at Woodstock had a dietary staff and she said the food was good. However after becoming Kindred that changed. My wife was fighting cancer and recovering from multiple surgeries including a leg amputation and brain surgery that left her without the use of her left arm. I brought her wheelchair in to her when she was admitted in April of 2014, 2 days later they had removed it from her room and replaced it with one better suited for use with the hoist they use. Upon…
