CriticalNo better than the previous owners. My mom has passed away now but The place smells awful. The nurses don't check on the patients they charged me extra to give her a bath every day and check on her. Every day I showed up my mom was not changed. Her bed every time I showed up was drenched and she sat for hours in the same diaper. Terrible how they treated the bed ridden patients. Also they charge [Amount Removed] To push the patients application through to get DCF supplement income Everyone is doing it that lives t…

PositiveI've been in three or four assisted living facilities before I got to Westchester sunrise. The building itself is absolutely breaathtaking. The staff genuinely cares and go out of there way to help the residents. The food i good but if you Don't like what's on the menu you can have other items the staff will prepare for us. I can't express enough my gratitude for being here at Westchester and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!!!

CriticalThe staff is friendly, but administration seems frazzled and makes promises that they do not keep. The residents are all complaining, but nothing gets done. My husband‘s been there for two months and we’re still waiting for the emergency pendant. They gave him a little bell to ring if he has an emergency. The facility has great potential, but it needs some up upgrades. The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, but they smell moldy and need better lighting. Unfortunately, I have been told that most of these a…

CriticalWestchester of Sunrise was terrible. As soon as you walked in, it was not clean. It wasn't inviting. Everything was very outdated. It was just terrible; it was just a waste of time. The girl that took care of me was really nice, and she showed me the whole area and the facility. However, I don't know how it's even open because it looks rundown. They showed me the recreation room, which was terrible. They showed me the community room, which was terrible. The dining room was terrible. There's a be…

PositiveThis facility and the staff was a blessing in the sky! My 86 yo mother broke a bone on Feb 2020. Less than a month they lockdown the facility do to Covid19. I was devastated. My mother has dementia, but the staff was AMAZING to make me feel comfortable. The RNs Kim, Marsha and Adrian, the CNAs Guerda, Lourdes, Sonia (and all the other), the Activity Manager, ETC... ALL AMAZING. I wish other people could appreciate what they do to their love ones. How difficult is to dealing with all the issues they bring and still …
