CriticalMy mom is at this Westmont. I was hopeful this would be a great experience but there are many problems that need attention related to management (an Executive Director who is not impressive.) Positives: nice community of residents, lovely care staff, spacious modern rooms. Problems: BED BUGS! Broken air conditioning system, leaving seniors with room temperatures well into the 80s on a regular basis; poor communication from management to residents; a lot of staff turnover. MAJOR problems: Food/service is shockin…

CriticalOverall diversified community but falls short of promises particularly in what they claim to be "fine dining". Quality of food is sub-par and there are numerous unresolved problems with all aspects of the dining room. Frequent shortages in items on the menu, including staples. Long wait time between ordering and actual service etc. Food served cold and often substitutions, or they run out of items part way through meal service.

PositiveI'd rate 4 stars w/a strong '+' only because of staffing issues, hopefully something temporary. Love the environment! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]& staff (in general) set a beautifully inviting, family oriented atmosphere that [name removed] fits into perfectly! Love her restaurant-style meal choices; waiter included, even if at times she begs the difference; par for the course; back to normal; using her voice w/great improvement! Her unit is beautiful, spacious w/ accommodating amenities, in -ro…

PositiveIt was a beautiful facility, new construction. The gal that helped onboard us was terrific. Amenities were great. I would definitely recommend to other. The only thing I can add is the one drawback... not enough outdoor space, or serene places to relax outside

CriticalMy husband has been in the Memory Care Unit of Westmont of Culver City for a year. My initial review was a five star one, based on this being new and unknown territory. However, I feel that my view towards the entire experience, has changed. First, the memory care unit is totally understaffed. The ratio of caregiver to residents is very poor, creating an environment for accidents to happen. Second, I feel the caregivers need in-services to ensure that they understand their jobs. They need to be held accountable for…

PositiveWestmont Culver City is very nice and it's brand new. My mother has a one-bedroom, one-bath, and it's nice. I highly recommend it. The staff is great. They have a gym, chair aerobics for everybody, a movie theater, a restaurant, a courtyard, front and back entrances, private elevators, you have to use the key to get in, and front desk staff. She doesn't like the food that much.
