My mother was in Westmoreland Care & Rehab Center, and it's not a very good nursing home. They just put a diaper on and left her lying there. Every time I would go in, they wouldn't have her up. They wouldn't do anything with her. They wouldn't take her out in the lobby and wouldn't work with her. I didn't like that place, so I had her transferred. Every time you walked in, you could smell urine. There will be a few people out in the lobby watching TV, but as far as activities, I d…

During the time my husband was at this facility, it was always clean. The staff was amazing. I have never seen more caring staff. I could tell by the way they treated my husband when they didn't realize I was there. They do an excellent job and go above and beyond in a (in my opinion) a very stressful and difficult profession. My father passed away on Labor Day. He was in Westmoreland. They wouldnt let us in, so I never couldn't tell much about it, but he got bed sores all over him, so I don't think very much of it. He wasn't able to communicate. They call about every week or so. You couldn't go inside. All we've ever done was talk to him on the phone. The doctor has put him on some medications, I was trying to get him talk to me, but they wouldn't do that. And I was trying to get them to give him another C…

Mom stayed at Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation Center for nine weeks. Overall, for a nursing home, I thought they did a good job. She had a typical nursing home room, which was not very spacious. The staff was great. However, she complained about the food and it was really bad.
