PositiveWe liked White Horse Village for a combination of things. It's a nice locale, and it's not outrageously expensive as many of them are. We had lunch there and it was pretty good food. They have a pool, a wood shop, a rehab gym, and a regular gym
★★★★★
PositiveWhite Horse Village is a stand-alone place. It is not owned by any major corporation but by individual investors, and it's beautiful. It's actually my first choice, but it's a little step above and a little more expensive. They have different choices of villas, carriage homes, condos, and so on. It's just lovely.
★★★★★
PositiveI thought the accommodations at White Horse Village were very small but looked nice. A lot of their accommodations were outside, so as you get older, you would have to walk outside to get to the dining area. I liked their assisted living and memory care. It was the best location. The activities seemed good. They had a pool, golf, trips, parties, and dancing.

CriticalHealth Care Facility. Be wary if putting a parent here. Staff is nice and accommodating while you are there. When not - different story. Meals are in a dining room. Afterwards all wheelchairs are pushed towards a large TV - and that is where they sit. Must be easier on staff if in one place. "Movie" night is sad and depressing to see all the seniors - in wheelchairs - sleeping. Again easier for staff. Patience and compassion is quite lacking.
★★★★★
PositiveWhite Horse Village is nice but overpriced. It's very expensive, and we couldn't afford it. It's very clean and had nice facilities. I only met a couple of the staff who seemed nice. The grounds are very kept up and very nice.

PositiveOur mother moved to WHV over 14 yeas ago and our family has found the facility, staff, and grounds to be everything advertised. Until a few months ago she spent the last 3years in the assisted living (personal care) section of the healthcare facility. The staff is attentive and caring, and we appreciate the fact that they regularly kept us advised of any changes, events, etc. whether they were critical in nature or not. During that time our mother spent a few temporary periods in the skilled nursing section while r…
