poor quality care

My sister is unable to do for herself. The care she receives is mediocre at best. There are different caregivers so it does depend on who is on duty, but there is also a huge turnover in staff & often the staff are doing double shifts, no one is at their best when working 16 hours straight. Our family didn't choose this facility, she simply ended up there (long story). It is a long drive there to visit her, so we stay 4-6 days each visit. During our last visit no one ever came in to change her (she is incontinent) …

I visited this facility

We went to Wildflower Lodge Senior Living. The person who took me was very friendly and open, answered all my questions, and showed me everything that I wanted to see in their facility. The rooms or units that I looked at were shared, and they were very well maintained. I saw some common spaces. I saw the dining room. They also had private meeting rooms for families wanting to get together, like a private area for a pizza party or a get-together with the family. The facility is centrally located for us. They'r…

I visited this facility

I liked the location because it's in proximity to where I live. I liked that it seemed like a fairly modern facility and it was clean. They had a nice courtyard. The layout was good because what I am looking for is a one bedroom and they had one-bedrooms available versus just a studio. The staff seemed good. A lot of them were relatively new, which was OK. They did good and they answered all my questions. I liked their dining area. They had several dining areas, one common area, and then another room for those…

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom moved here. I liked their personnel. They seem to be caring, and they keep us informed. They are very gentle with my mom. They have games and interactions. After we communicated better with them their care has been good.

They look nice, but the care is NOT there.

My sister is in the memory care section and they simply place them in front of a TV and call that an activity. the staff has constant overturn, and they don't really care about the residents. Every second available they are simply on their own personal cell phones, not attempting to interact with residents. I spent 2 full days there and that is what I observed. I saw a lot worse actually. I will be moving my sister out of there soon.
