I've become very disillusioned with Windrush. They make the residents go to bed at 5:30pm and they're in bed for 12 hours. They were not giving my mom a certain medication that was prescribed for her and often they've taken too long to help her to the bathroom resulting in her soiling herself. The aides have told me the director lies and is not a good person. They've even sent my mom to the hospital just because she couldn't sleep one night. Director [name removed]y with no reason, and hired a fired nurse/manager from another facility with no experience to be a director [name removed] (never got her card) made absolutely no sense. He was a wonderful, interactive, and caring director with staff, residents, and families. [name removed]was hired immediately in a new facility in Georgetown that our loved one cannot afford. PositivePros and cons
My mom was only there for a week and a half before she ended up in the hospital and is now in a nursing home for physical therapy. The food was really good - I got to eat a meal with her there once and the sides were very nice. On the flip side, it sometimes took a long time to answer her call button and sometimes no one came at all.
