I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My 96 year old father has been there for several years now. He has been progressing through his Alzheimer's symptoms for last 2 years or so. He is well fed with healthy food, clothed, sheltered and cared for by the compassionate staff. My sister in LA and I in Phoenix stay in close contact with Dakota and his caring staff. Due to his Alzheimer's and age, I'm not aware of many activities my father participates in so I can't rate below. Several years ago, my sister relayed to me that the choice of…

Agape, has an exceptional staff, beginning with the owner/manager, and every caregiver. They communicate clearly all that is happening with my step-mom. They are kind, patient, and nurturing. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are always clean and tidy. I highly recommend Agape Care Home of Scottsdale.

I toured the Agape Care Home of Scottsdale. The owner was chordal and really nice. The facility was nice and clean. My tour went well. Everyone was nice, but we ended up placing my loved one at a different facility.

Better than most.

At first everyone we met were more than qualified , then after a month or so notice a couple others , who need English lessons, and the overwhelming relief turns to skepticism . Got reports from mother they wanted to feed her hotdogs for lunch almost everyday , and she had told them the foods she's used to eating ,i.e. cereal ,fruits and drinks, and for some reason she kept requesting me to get the items for her or to give her money to give to the girls when they'd go shopping. That is all supposed to be included. …

DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY WITH AGAPE CARE

Unhappy, Disappointed and Sad. Lacks loving, family environment. Promises made prior to move in were not kept and concerns went unanswered. Disappointed and Mislead....the program sold did not exist. LONELY, SAD and COULD NOT WAIT TO LEAVE. Based on my experience I DO NOT recommend this facility

Why this community appears in these categories

Board & Care Homes

Current active Arizona Department of Health Services Assisted Living Home record from AZ Care Check. Arizona Revised Statutes section 36-401 defines an Assisted Living Home as an assisted living facility with resident rooms for ten or fewer residents. CareOpenly therefore uses the official home license type as a Board & Care proxy. The public map record does not expose the state license number, licensed capacity, operator relationship, current availability, price, or fees, so none are inferred.
