Review for American House Livonia Senior Living

Most of the staff were very kind and helpful. Of course there has to be a bad apple here and there. Room size was adequate and it was pretty clean. She was in a handicapped accessible room so it was just one big room. . I would say Not the very best but definitely not the worst according to some stories I have heard". It seemed like they had nice activities for the ambulatory people and the common areas were clean and it did NOT smell like a nursing home.

Staff is good..activities director is absolutely the best ever! Dining room staff is good.. there are always some things that need improvement but over all we are very happy with this faculty and I'm a picky person!

I saw it very clean and very friendly. My "tour guide" made me feel very welcome and was very understanding. She answered all my questions.

I visited this facility

We didn't like American House Livonia as much. It was nice and clean, but the staff wasn't as friendly, and everybody was sitting by themselves. It was nicely done inside. It was updated, clean, and bright, but nobody was talking to each other. The rooms were very nice.

The facility is always clean, with kind staff members, good meals and a fabulous activities coordinator who makes an effort to include everyone. The only negative items or areas of improvement I can think of would be better security at the front entrance, better insect/pest control and more patio furniture added for outdoor enjoyment. All in all, we are very pleased.

Our family experience

The facility was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For assisted living it looks like a great place. I see people doing activities in the common area often. The place does not smell bad at all. Unfortunately I don't think the facility was a good choice for a person that is bedridden and on hospice.
