I’m posting this after six months of having my mom at the community. I wanted to give her time to adjust and give myself enough time to see whether the experience matched what I expected going in. CriticalMany Caring Staff, But Management Has Serious Communication Problems
I’m posting this 6 months after giving my mom time to settle in and myself time to evaluate the experience. There are genuinely caring employees here. Many staff know and like my mom, and I’m grateful for how they interact with her. The activities, culinary, and reception teams are great. My biggest concerns are mgmt communication, follow-through, and customer service (lack of empathy). It's been really, really tough and I have yet to receive any apologies. The place was clean, and my father really enjoyed the food. My dissatisfaction came when my father complained about having difficulty breathing. I called the nurse and asked her to check on him. She never did. I arrived and called 911. They were always short-staffed.

Rooms are very spacious. Thankful for the good care of my mum in memory care. There are increased activities for the MC residents. There are some caretakers that go the extra mile for my mum and truly know her.

The activities I would say are very good, along with outings to restaurants and shopping, with their shuttle. The care overall has been good, there have been ups and downs and weekends the staffing seems light, employee turnover can be a challenge for these jobs. Overall cleanliness is good, as well as apartment size. Some apartments, like my parents have a doorway to a courtyard, nice feature. Lots of courtyards and natural light and fireplaces, sitting areas, the library and theater are nice features too
