Review for American House Wesley Chapel

We've had a very positive experience. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The building is kept immaculate. My mom says the food is just ok. The activities are good. They do a lot of family involvement events. She is in a one bedroom unit that is a good size.

[Name Removed] was wonderful and the facility looked great. I am not sure if it’s a good fit for my mom because most of the people there are in assisted or memory care and she is independent at this point and I think it might be depressing for her to be around so many people who are disabled so I’m looking for a community that has independent living, assisted-living and memory care

Here's the good, the bad and the ugly. Good- very well kept facility - good maintenance person Bad- there was an incident where my wife's room started leaking water from the ceiling. We had to change her room. I helped move her furniture from one room to another. It seemed dangerous because it was near the electrical overhead light. We had high hopes for this facility for our loved one. They promise the best care, but after several management changes and different directors, the care is questionable. We have seen 4 directors in the last 5 years, and the current director is horrible. Portion sizes in the dining room are very small. Housekeeping is terrible. Several times, I have had to ask for the bed linens to be replaced on the bed after the bed was stripped to wash the linens. Housekeeping does minimal duties , and short staffing is the excu…

Short but well supported

I would recommend it. Unfortunately my mother was only there for 9 days. Everyone was very helpful.

My wife at the BH Would probably recommend for Assisted Living, but not for Memory Care

Beach house was very clean and it was well organized. The biggest gripe I have with them is that they were not patient enough with my wife. She had a bad day and they Baker Acted her, then they said she would be taken to a local hospital for treatment and the nearest hospital they were able to place her was in Ft Myers. Another issue I had with them was that water leaked in her room one night and we had to move her to another room, very inconvenient. They would not credit us any funds for this problem, not accepta…
