I am very pleased with this facility, the staff, and most importantly the care that was given to my Grandmother. The interior and exterior of this facility is SPECTACULARLY clean and organized. The residents are treated with the utmost respect and care. Every time I visited Gran, I witnessed the staff in action. My grandmother is in Americare. It's very clean and has a very good menu. They're providing excellent care thus far. They also have scheduled activities that residents can participate in, so they're not just sitting or laying around. They get involved in different games, karaoke, and entertainment. They take care of them, and the staff is very nice. The grounds are lovely, and they have a beautiful lake and a nice walkway where the residents can walk outside and enjoy nature. It's really pretty.

We visited Water's Edge, and the staff seemed really nice as they were to the patients too. They have a full staff 24/7. They have food, and they have a nice area where they can go out in the back and sit or walk outside. They have all kinds of activities there, and it's very clean too.

If you're looking for a really good place in the West Volusia County area, it's Water's Edge. It came highly recommended to me by the Medicaid lady. I asked her if you had to put your mother some place, where would you put her and she recommended Water's Edge. I went out and interviewed them and I took my mother out and we both really liked the place. It is independently owned and it's extremely well-run. The majority of the employees there have been there for 10 years or around that mark. …
