The building is so well designed for movement and interaction with those with dementia. I was very impressed. I saw Staff interact with residents in a positive manner. I saw residents interact with each other because they were not confined to their rooms. Staff is wonderful, very friendly, smiling and very helpful. They have activities all day except meal times. Room is small but kept clean. Food is good mom has no complaints about food. Mom has been there since June. We visited 4 or 5 homes. We are very glad we picked Artis.

We're very happy with Artis. [name removed] has settled in well. We are happy with the facility and the staff. It's especially nice for people who have dementia, but are still physically active since it is dedicated memory care. There is room to move about -- inside and out -- securely. I would recommend.

The staff was very friendly and genuinely cared about my father. They ensured he was healthy, happy, and enjoyed the daily activities.

Things to know

There were some initial issues with medication scheduling. Two medications that were prescribed for bedtime were changed to the afternoon and had to be corrected. During an early visit, the bathroom had a noticeable odor and the floor was sticky, which required staff to be asked to clean it. On a later visit, the room floor was still not clean and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The staff has been friendly and helpful overall, but given the cost, these basic issues were unexpected.
