The move in was smooth however there were a few items that should have been taken care of before move. Like kitchen cabinets weren't clean & a shelf was broken. Some of the door holders were not secured. The toilet needed a new wax ring & was broken, so I had to buy a new one. Housekeeping has not been great. I have a special diet & I can't eat the meals provided. Sometimes I haven't been able to reach the staff & I can't figure out the phone service & no one else seemed to know either. Overall, my experience was good. I lived there for one year food got kind of boring after a while lots of changes and staff I think in the kitchen my biggest complaint is I moved to Ashbridge because of the indoor heated swimming pool over and over again I asked him to please heat it. They first would say it’s broken and yada yada yada nine months into it. I finally raised my voice and then they turned on the heater to 78°. I found a place for myself at the independent living community of Ashbridge Manor in Downingtown. I will be moving in June. We toured the place and chose them because they were more reasonable than some of the other communities we looked at, and their facilities seemed to suit what I was looking for. They offered the same amenities, too, and the price was very important to me. The gentleman who walked around with us was very informative. The people I met there were all very nice. The place was very clean.
