I went to Asher Point Independent Living of Texarkana. This is a senior living apartment. The people are very friendly. As for the staff, they get their jobs done and are not grumpy about it. Food is average, and there are places for improvement. The place is comfortable. They have a lot of activities. They invite people to join them for those activities, especially for their exercise classes.

We toured the independent living community of Asher Point Independent Living of Texarkana for my mother. I like that they have three home-cooked meals a day for the people there, and they've got a chef who oversees everything. We went in at lunchtime, and they fed us, and their catfish is amazing. We talked to other residents there, and they said 99% of the food is just as good as that. They give home-cooked meal options every day, three times a day, and you have four other things you can have at any time. My …

Several of the people who live there talked with my parents and encouraged them, and hoped that they were going to come live there.
