PositiveWe meet with a friend there every week to play Parcheesi and Jamiu is incredibly helpful to us; knowing how & where our friend is at the moment; offering drink and/or snacks while we play. He may even check in with us at times to see how we are doing. Atria Park is lucky to have him.

The staff has been attentive and caring for the most part with my husband. With the progression of his dementia he grows more fatigued and wants to nap; however, the staff don’t want to leave him alone in his room in case he tries to get up by himself. So they have him stay in his wheelchair in the common area more. I understand their concern, but unfortunately this leads to greater fatigue and soreness in his hip from sitting in one position so long. We have to work on a solution to this situation. I did have some concerns about the care initially. If I had not been going there, I'm not sure that they would have been as attentive. My mom's laundry was not done consistently. I had to remind them to do it a couple of times (I changed her sheets as well because of concerns that they weren't doing that either-the same sheets were on her bed that were there the week earlier and her laundry had not been done ) the laundry that was done was just thrown in her closet.
