PositiveMy husband is in Bayshire Carlsbad. They put him in skilled nursing until about three weeks ago and they moved him into assisted living. They're a good bunch of people. It's clean. The staff seems fine both in the skilled and assisted. I've got no problems with the care. They have programs. He says he gets more than enough to eat. He had been in there a year and a half ago for six months. When I walked in this time, the lady at the front desk where you signed in still remembered me from before. The s…

PositiveMy husband is in Bayshire Carlsbad. We're gonna move him from the nursing section over to the assisted living part. He's happy there and he's comfortable. He's hard to please, so the fact that he likes it there, I think we're gonna keep him there for now. He said he likes it a lot better than where he was. I like it because they communicate. I wasn't getting any communication from where he was at all about his condition and any improvements that were made or anything like that. He got …

PositiveIt's a great community, and it's all about your family's situation. We have two loved ones who have been at Brookdale Carlsbad. One of them has been there almost a decade and has lots of friends. The residents are very friendly, it's just up to you how much you get to know them. The staff is very helpful. They helped my other loved one set up a Facebook video machine because I couldn't go in during Covid. They have a podiatrist that helps clip toenails when they get too long. They help with other electronics he has…

PositiveMy mom keeps telling me that she can't believe her good fortune to have landed at Brookdale. She says she feels like she's in a 5-star hotel on a luxury cruise everyday! The staff couldn't be nicer.

PositiveMom has lived at Brookdale Carlsbad for three years, starting in the assisted level and now in the memory care unit. In both of these levels, we have found the staff to be attentive, efficient, knowledgeable, and constantly individualizing Mom's care to fit her personal needs. In addition, there is a beautician and manicurist available on site by appointment. They also take personal interest in Mom's care. Communication of any concerns regarding Mom's health is facilitated by phone and email. The staff works toget…
