I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law used to be a resident at Brightview Severna Park. It's a beautiful and extremely large facility. It's like three buildings put together. However, my mother-in-law felt very alone there because it was so large and she felt like she was just a number. That's her personal feeling and that's what she would tell us. Brightview Severna Park was a nice facility, but they're very expensive. I like it, but it would be good for somebody who has a big income or has access to a lot of money. The staff was good. I had no problem with the director of sales. She answered all our questions, but they just wanted too much money to hold a room, as opposed to the other place, and that was nonrefundable. I don't think they can meet the care level that my mother needed. It was practically brand new, so to me it was very elaborate. I …

I thought the tour I had at Brightview Severna Park was excellent. I think the facility is top-notch. The staff appears to be very professional and courteous. It has a lot more amenities than we might use because it's a multi-function facility. There's independent living, assisted living, and memory care (we toured the memory care) and it was probably, if I recall, the most expensive, which was a factor that probably dropped it out of my top two. My dad recently moved into this Brightview location and so far we are all so happy with the decision. The facility is clean, seems to be very well-run with a nice activities calendar each week, and the staff are just super friendly and happy. My dad seems to be getting out more now and engaging in the social events, and overall it's just seemed like it's made a positive difference to his quality of life. Very happy with Brightview!

I helped my dad look at several place in the area and was very impressed with this location. Even during COVID, Brightview has been a great place for my dad to call home. He really enjoys his community and says it was a great decision. I am very proud of the decision to move to Brightview Severna Park and I openly recommend it to others.
