Recommend because Affordable, but needs improvement.

Place is kept clean but I have seen roaches and maintenance is not kept up. Sometimes the staff talks down to the residents. One of the staff told me that I need to start taking some of my dad's laundry home and do it. Food is always cooked ahead of time so when warmed up it is always dry. Seems to have a lot of cold cut sandwiches and chips for meals. The residents complain that they don't cook very so they never can have extra and leave table hungry. My dad's grocery bill is ridiculous. They have no actives. Cost…

The Bristol Manor of Odessa is OK. There's only three staff members, the administrator and two staff people. The administrator said she wants it to be like a homey atmosphere, but they don't have a way to get us somewhere like a van or bus or something that could get us to different places when we are able to go out. Right now, we're all tied down here like we're prisoners instead of people. And I am really over this situation. The food is not very good. There are no activities. You have one roo…

We did not know what to think when we had to start looking at places for our parent. When we stopped and toured the facility we were met immediately by the administrator who was answered all our questions and relieved our fears. We have not regretted moving our parent into this facility which feels more like our parents home.

We like that this home has staff that has been there long term. It was one of the reasons we chose this home. After touring for several places and going back to some we found that management and staff were always changing. We were looking for a place where the staff stayed and we felt were knowledgeable. We are happy with our choice and our family member loves this home. The meals smell wonderful and our family member loves them and the staff.

Our family member loves this place. Great food and a loving staff. We are very happy with the choice we made for our parent.
