Staff turnover is a problem. As soon as my parents get used to and like one person, they leave and they have to get used to someone new again. Food is mostly good, but they do serve spicy Italian or Mexican food sometimes and that is hard on elderly with acid reflux. The apartment is working out and the staff are very kind. I would recommend it to others

My sister [name removed] went downhill fairly quickly so was there only 6 weeks at Marina Butte and had some challenges with staff, but her dementia kept getting worse so hard to tell. She also had a dog that needed feeding and walking.

Most of the staff there are loving and caring, a couple are just doing their jobs. I think that in your area where you have the television that you should have some snacks that the patients could indulge in and also some cold drinks without having to ask somebody every time they would like to have something and maybe yes or no, they could get it.

My dad is a resident of Brookdale Mariana Butte Assisted Living. They have a very nice inner garden area and a nice walking trail around the outside of the home. The staff has been extremely helpful and very kind. They have morning activities that include exercise and games, and in the afternoon, they sometimes take trips. The dining area is fine, and the food is okay. The room is just comfortable.
