Our family's experience

The staff is all super friendly. Very nice, helpful when asked for help. However, the dining area is often pretty messy. The food is mediocre. I'm sure it's hard to cook And clean for that segment of the population because of dietary restrictions and such but it doesn't seem like they're doing as well as they could with the food. The cleaning of my mom's room is not very consistent and they don't really pay attention to whether or not her bed needs changed as far as I can tell. The room is a good size . The toilet …

Aides never show up on time. Say they will be right back but never show up. Big problem. Therapists never come on time. To short of space to comment on.

Room for improvements

Apartment size is nicer than most we saw in other facilities. Not always great about picking up his room when they are supposed too, have misplaced his laundry baskets and he ended up with one that wasn't his, activity area is super small and right when you walk in the front door. Nowhere else for them to " hang out".. Brookdale in Wickliffe was nicer in the common areas. Food is not bad but portions sometimes small for a big guy like my dad, nurses very nice and good about communicating, nurse practitioner not gre…

The facility was clean and odor-free. The residents were all engaged with many different activities. The rooms we visited were a bit small but unique to the person living there. Our overall experience was a good one.

Definitely would recommend

Everyone is friendly, accommodating and attentive to residents. Building is clean and outside areas are beautiful. My brother likes the food. He is very comfortable!

My mom is thriving. Brookdale is a great fit for her stage in life.

Everyone there has been so kind and seems so happy to be working there. The room size is just right for a older person. My mom loves that there are so many different places or rooms to be, she doesn't get bored just with the same old view. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Mentor to others looking for care for a loved one.
