Maplewood at Chardon checks all the boxes. It's the cream of the crop. It's absolutely perfect. All of the apartments had little porches in front of them. Everything was personalized. It's a huge facility, and it has a lovely layout. They do not hire outside people. The staff is permanent. The dining room was like walking into a high-class restaurant. Everybody was dressed properly and very accommodating. The cook will prepare anything special for people if they do not like one of the two choices of …

The staff seemed amazing-the apartment fronts were really nice and it was just an overall good impression. We love the place - definitely a 5 - my mother in law is not happy with her stay - but the family would recommend.

Criticalwould recommend Maplewood however there is room for improvement in meals and outdoor maintenance.
Staff gets a 5 except the director I would give a 3. He does not do what he says he will do. My mom has been promised a new patio door since last summer as the current one does not shut without extreme force and then you can't open it without extreme force. My mom complains she rarely has a hot meal and the quality is hit and miss. The layout and the rooms at Maplewood at Chardon were really beautiful. The staff was very friendly. On the visit they gave us chocolate chip cookies that they made in a box for us, which was really sweet. They were good. I just talked to the lady that was in charge of the sales and who showed me the room, and she was very pleasant. The rooms were really, really nice. The entire staff from receptionist, housekeeping, STNA's, nurses, activities coordinators, and administrative have ALL been so genuinely friendly, caring, and welcoming. They truly listen to residents' and families' requests and concerns.
