CriticalThis facility keeps their doors unlocked. It is a major safety concern for the residents. Just think of all who could just wander in or wander out. There was not even someone at the front desk and had to search for an employee. Please, keep searching and do not place your loved one in here.

Critical3 years ago I would have given this facility 4 or 5 stars. Something has changed about this facility since the pandemic.I have a family member who has been residing in this facility.They got sick and had to be transferred to hospital.They spent 10 days in the hospital.I went to see them in may 2021 and they were able to walk easily with their walker as usual.The hospital determined them no longer able for assisted living and they had to be moved to rehab and then a nursing home.The carriage house of Sumter packed m…

PositiveCarriage House of Sumter takes care of all of my mother's needs and they assist her with any additional things that she can't do on her own. We've been very pleased with them. The staff helps her with getting to the bathroom and taking a bath. Her studio apartment has everything except a kitchen. They have a dining facility in the building.
