The people living there are the some of the most caring and supportive That's what keeps us there. The administration needs some guidance. I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Columbia. They are trying to fix the food issues. But most people don't care they get three meals a day and that's important. My mom arrived at 95lbs. She is up to 115. We have chosen Merrill Gardens at Columbia for my in-laws. It's downtown, it's newer, and they have very active residents because it's just independent and assisted living, and it doesn't do nursing. They had full kitchens. They had outdoor living spaces. They had all-day dining, like three meals a day. The staff members seemed familiar with all the residents. Merrill Gardens at Columbia is a nice facility. I signed up for independent living there. If my condition deteriorates, then I'll let them know that I'm interested in probably assisted living. That's the only two that they offer at that place because I talked to them, and I said, 'What happens if I run out of money?' They said, 'We will help you get placed into a nursing home.' Well lite dining & lobby gathering area. Open to the lower level. Wine hour @ 4 on Wed & Friday. Beauty shop, good sized gym, outside restaurant events, in unit laundry. Daily check in by residents & if not pressed by 11:00am Staff will enter the unit to check on resident. kitchen( stove dishwasher, sink, refrigerator. Maintenance in unit for a fee. Cleaner once a week included. 2 meals a day, open seating and an Elevator
