PositiveThe care services get a 5 but only because Mom had wonderful care from Hospice of VA (3, if only facility staff). Many activities were offered but Mom did not participate in many. I think that more staff should be hired with nursing degrees. To many of the CNA's, it was just a job. Maybe pay should be more in order to get more qualified staff. I will say that the administrator, [name removed], was great!! She addressed any issues I had!

PositiveMy mom moved into Commonwealth Senior Living at Kilmarnock. We chose that place because my brother is only half an hour away, so he can go often. That is what he had been doing. Virginia and that area is my mom's home, and we wanted her to stay there where friends and family are. They have a lot of staff, and this seems to be more of a calling and a passion for them. CriticalMy loved one was previously a resident at Commonwealth Senior Living at Kilmarnock and the overall experience was good for her. The move in process went well. The staff and the quality of the meals were both good. The housekeeping was okay, they could use more help. Overall, I would recommend Commonwealth at Kilmarnock to others.
★★★★★

PositiveThey were very friendly and welcoming. The facility was always clean. Staff extremely friendly. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. The food seemed good. Activities offered were good. Overall value for the money was very good

I think she's in a two-person room, and they're charging us for a single person price because they don't have a person to fill it. There have been times we've gone there and the floor needed to be cleaned. The staff is very respectful and very nice, but very forgetful. She has hearing aids and the hearing aids have been lost twice now, and this is a memory care unit, so…
