PositiveOur family's experience
I've only been at the cross roads and Dunlop house and they are night and day. At the cross roads we would always find my parents in bed sleeping the day away, not going to have a meal and if they did go to dinner they sat by themselves. The staff was rude to my parents and always told me they couldn't "force" my parents to eat or get up. At the Dunlop house I feel the staff love their jobs, engage with the residents and know how to speak to encourage the residents to live! They have assigned seating so people with…

Very happy with everything so far! Such a big difference from where we were to Dunlop house. Their staff treat my parents with dignity. My dad is getting so much stronger. Everybody is very nice and helpful here at Dunlop House. So far, it's going fine. I don't have the ability to leave my room yet and I'm waiting on a power wheelchair, but someone comes and gets my order for each one of my meals and brings it to my room. I also get help with getting a shower. The nursing staff and the lady at the desk are super nice. There's a salon here, and they have a hairdresser, but I have my own hairdresser for about five years, and on her days off she will come and wash an…
