CriticalI am a family member of a patient at Complete Care Regency Groton for a couple of weeks for rehab after surgery. This place is dim, damp, dated, dingy, dank, and depressing. (This review brought to you by the letter D I guess). My loved one needs IV medicine. They told him they had to find an IV machine and bring it up "from the basement... it's scary down there." What kind of nursing facility doesn't have IV equipment readily on hand. He needs a healthy diet. The food is wretched. He needs rest…

CriticalOur family member was dropped on her had from her wheelchair and the nursing supervisor did not call 911! Her head injury was significant, and she had a possible broken shoulder and the nurse basically try to belittle the family and yelled and made faces at us for insisting she go to the hospital immediately. This nurse should have been fired immediately. Needless to say she has been moved to a much more competent facility.

PositiveMy husband was admitted to rehab care at the Groton Regency on[date removed], he was there for almost 3 months. I do not know a lot about the day staff because 90% of the time I went to see him at night after work. What I witness is an exceptional, experienced staff; the standouts were [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed](sp?). The employee that I saw and delt with the most was [name removed]. He was attentive, knowledgeable and very, very kind. He was not like this with just my husband, but all the pat…

PositiveI toured Complete Care at Groton Regency. They were very nice and helpful. The place was clean, and I liked the layout of it. I thought it would be a good place for me. Ava was wonderful. She explained everything and was easy to talk to. The room size was very sufficient, and I was pleased with it. You have your own private bathroom right inside your room, and I felt I could be very comfortable there.

CriticalI have a friend in the Groton Regency Center. It has quite a few levels of care. It reminds me of what you'd think of an old nursing home, although it does have some nice outdoor areas to sit or a place to watch TV. You know, you can. It has its own laundry room and patients can do their laundry, at least in the area where my friend is, and she has quite a bit of freedom. You know, she just checks. She can go out for a walk. She can go shopping, not necessarily with everybody, but she goes by herself, she like…

CriticalI had the MISFORTUNE of staying there for a week, I am 59. non weight bearing broken leg. HORRIBLE. The food is vile, I couldn't even eat it because of how bad it was but I am a type 1 diabetic, they refused to count my carbs or feed me an ADA diet, even after my doctor sent them instructions. The staff is wonderful, that is where it ends. The PT person, Joanne is a control freak and her young assistant, occupational therapy is clueless. I am STRONG, my upper body, their idea of therapy was lifting 3 pound wei…
