Review for MorningStar Memory Care at Englefield Green

We picked this community, because my loved one was very young and fortunately had money. We didnt want nursing home atmosphere and this was more hotel like and had options if improvement. It started great, but only lasted one month. They said he was doing better and we had to pick him up and figure out other options with 30 day notice.

Overall, our experience has been good. The facility is very clean. My husband's bathroom has not been as clean as it should be, but to be fair, he is blind and has bowl issues and has a Foley catheter, so they are dealing with him needing extra care. They have been short staffed but it has been better since Cornerstone has been preparing to take over October 1st. Facility Conditions

Activities could probably be geared more toward the clientele. It was kind of a generic, one-size-fits-all approach, although I know they're limited on manpower to execute that. The staff was stretched kind of thin, but there were a couple of nurses who took good care of my dad and did a good job. Dad seemed happy with the people who were seeing to his needs as well. The maintenance side of things was a bit lacking. It took several calls to get some things resolved in his individual unit.
