CriticalCottingham Retirement Community
Overall, we did not have a great experience. A lot of bad communication between the different departments there. For the most part, the staff was very nice, some just didn't seem to know what they were doing. The food was good. For the most part it was clean and the apartment size was good.

My dad is very happy he loves his apartment and it's the perfect size for him it has one bedroom that is separate from the rest of the living space. The staff are all very kind and helpful. My dad loves the activities they provide he says the food is good. They do need to make some improvements on the building. I did notice one area where the roof leaks and one of the main common areas on the second floor near the dining area. Other than that we are very pleased with Cottingham

I believe that it is not managed very well at all. It took three months for them to get my correct address in their system to send the bill to me… It took almost a month for me to get them to put her name on her mailbox so she could start getting mail… I was told a physical therapist would visit her the day after she moved in, it took me several phone calls and a visit to their physical therapy office to finally try to schedule something with them… I was given a phone number to text if I had any questions for nurse…

The staff is very friendly. My parents for the most part like it there. There are times when they are short staffed. The food is something they occasionally complain about. If I had one complaint it would be about their plumbing. They have ongoing issues with that
