As a Gerontologist I had the privelege of providing an educational seminar on Successful Aging at the Forks PA. I can relate to all that Country Meadows is an Outstanding Independent Living Community. My mom has been in Connections, the memory care unit, for almost a year now. Her every need is met with care and compassion. Every day is filled with an extensive schedule of fun activities to do. The activities are too numerous to list but include singing, playing bingo, arts and crafts, trivia, going for rides into the country and enjoying entertainment from guest musicians. My first impression was based solely on the appearance of the well maintained grounds and building. Then upon entering the lobby, the warmth and care was obvious in the way we were greeted. The residents and staff alike were friendly, with a genuine, happy and uplifting spirit. I have no doubt my mother is well care for; physically, emotionally and mentally. She participates in the plentiful activities and her appetite is better than it’s been in years. I look forward to my visits with her.

My mother-in-law is in Country Meadows Retirement Communities. They're very attentive, and it's a very clean facility. It's more like a country club environment. It's not like a nursing home. We were in the independent living of Country Meadows of Forks. I was watching my wife, she was supposed to be in assisted living. We were in a small studio apartment that barely a twin bed could fit in the room. They had a ton of activities, but once COVID struck in March 2020 there was a lockdown, a shutdown, and meals were served in our room like we are all contagious.
