Critical2 days ago NEW While visiting my father last week, his roomate fell in the room. I immediately pushed the call button and ran the halls for help. I could not find one single attendant. I ran back and helped him to his feet. It took 1.5 hours before anyone checked on the call button. When the nurse did finally come to check she acted like I was a bother. It seems as though this place is really short staffed! Update: It gets worse! This place is so poorly run. It is a shame because there are a hanful of great employe…

PositiveMy mother has been at DGOTG for a month. My family and I are very satisfied with the care that she is receiving during her stay. The staff is friendly and attentive to my mother's needs. Many have taken the time to develop a relationship with her. This is such a comfort when we cannot be with her, knowing that she has familiar faces checking in on her and assisting her when we cannot. From CNAs to maintenance, we have had interactions with almost everyone and it is ALWAYS pleasant. DGOTG took all the worry out…

CriticalTalked with resident this evening and he wasn't able to reach his call button. I called to ask if someone could please go to his room - it took 30 minutes for someone to answer. When visiting - his restroom smells like urine and my shoes actually stick to the floor. When anyone complains they take it out on the resident and handle him in a rough manner. When resident (completely disabled) calls for help it takes a very long time for anyone to respond. He has been left sitting in fecal diapers for long periods …

PositiveI'm happy with the services that Delmar Gardens on the Green provides. The staff seems professional, friendly, and caring. My mom is also happy when she interacts with them. They treat her with respect, which is important to me, and they listen to her. For what she needs, it's a convenient location to where I live. The food is excellent. It looks very appetizing. She said that they're always bringing food to her. My mom is in a shared room with one other person. It's not huge but she has a view …

PositiveWe went to see Delmar Gardens on the Green last Thursday. It's a nursing home and they were very friendly. My mother-in-law doesn't walk very far so they got her a wheelchair so she can be pushed around. She has COPD so every 10 steps get her winded and it would have been a long tour had we not had them. They were very accommodating and answered all the questions she had, even if it wasn't a great question. It seemed very clean and the people seemed very well taken care of. When we left, she said tha…

CriticalDO NOT leave a loved one here! We lost our loved one because [name removed] thought she knew more and yet she has NO medical experience. She tells you when you suggest things that she has 32+ years experience and knows much more than any of us does her sidekick, [name removed], who spends more time with her dog each day. We see call buttons going unanswered, people lying in dirty briefs, people waiting for long periods of time in dining room for their meals and often give up and head back to their rooms hungry beca…
