Clean, fun and friendly, with a high level of care for a very reasonable price.

My in-laws are now in the memory side of the Oaks, in Desert Willows. There have been some small annoyances, but overall I am pleased at the care they are getting for the low price. The room size are designed for a single person, so even though my in-laws have the biggest room, it is a little tight for them.

Friendly facility

They are still settling in and haven't used the amenities yet. Location and price are the main factors we chose this facility over others. Also, all the staff at the Oaks are really friendly.

Office Management - Incompetent and Inept

My mother passed away [date removed]. When a deceased resident passes away the policy is to lock their door. She passed on a Monday I went on Wednesday to clean out her belongings. Her door was unlocked. Her jewelry boxes, music boxes, jewelry, clothes, toiletries, purses, and other items were gone. She passed on [date removed]. She had paid her rent of [price removed] before [date removed]. I went in the office to find out when she would receive her refund. I was told in about 30 days. In May I went in again and t…

Review for The Meadows at Escalante

Other places I looked at had very small Memory Care Section. Common area is big and the bedrooms are a good size. The Meadows has a good energy. It is light and bright, the staff is friendly.

Happy Mother

Mother instantly fell in love with the staff and cleanliness. Price was more affordable. Difficulty reaching staff after 5pm. Front desk not manned after 5pm. Frequent changes in administrative staff. TV signal and WiFi frequently out. I once asked one of the nursing staff to make sure my mom took the right dosage and the right medication. She said she would but she never checked her

Our experience

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Quality of care hard to say as we didn't require much care. Meals and dining, nothing was bad but there was only 3 or 4 things that I looked forward to. Activities were varied but my husband wasn't very interested in participating. Value for cost, that's one of the reasons we moved back to the community we left in [date removed]. Assisted living is expensive no matter where you choose to live and the Meadows is no exception. I understand they are under new management so my comment…

Why this community appears in these categories

Board & Care Homes

Current Utah DHHS-licensed Assisted Living Facility Type I or Type II with 3 through 16 licensed beds and a non-expired license. Utah codes classify Type I/II facilities with 2-5 residents as limited capacity and 6-16 as small; this adapter conservatively retains 3-16 as a small-home proxy. The state does not certify the marketing label Board & Care, and the registry does not prove current availability, price, ownership, or an operator relationship.
