PositiveGreat tour. Saw three living units - a studio, a one bedroom and a two bedroom. Clean and spacious. They also showed me the area where a large renovation project will begin soon.

CriticalMany-storied building gives impression of mass production. Ditto the dinner arrangements: until the dining room is enlarged there are three sittings of 45 minutes starting at 4:15. One chooses which meal to take; then one keeps the same sitting time and table and tablemates at meals. Carpets a bit musty in DR and elsewhere but building will be renovated. Studio is claustrophobia-inducing and dull. Views out windows are of parking lots as much as anything else. Noisy urban location.

PositiveLife's New Chapter
My sister is adapting to Discovery Village - Quincy and assisted way of living. She misses her home on Cape Cod though which we had to sell. She enjoys the activities which she tries to participate in when she doesn't have her multitude of doctor's appts every week. She is a new amputee so has to rely on assistance to wheel her to meals and activities. Due to shortage of staff, her assistance doesn't come timely and she has long waits.
