I visited this facility

I like the lady who did the tour for me at Dulaney Valley Assisted Living at Hunt Valley. She was very thorough and very helpful. The place was nice and clean. I don't think they had the best communication, though, because she was not aware that I was coming for the tour. They also scheduled me at a time that wasn't good for the lady giving me the tour, because they were doing their medicine with the residents, but she still gave me the tour. I didn't like that their stairs were very narrow. They had…

I visited this facility

I toured Dulaney Valley Assisted Living at Hunt Valley and liked that it was a house. I liked the nursing staff-to-patient ratio. I also liked how the rooms were clean and set up and how they addressed the fact that every patient was different because of their mental status. They were quite a little different, and it's not all cookie-cutter same thing for everyone. The head nurse there was very knowledgeable and informative. The place was very nice. I was in the bathroom, and in some locations, the pungent odo…

poor quantity of care

The quality if care was poor because their caregiver turnover was weekly. They weren't trained properly and never engaged the seniors. Wanda the Nurse was nice and attentive but no one else. My dad would ask to go to the bathroom as he had a weak bladder and he would have to wait for about 15 mins before anyone got to him. He would get tired of waiting and go himself and had falls.

Review for Dulaney Valley Assisted Living at Hunt Valley

I truly was happy when I got [name removed] out ot there because I wasn't sleeping because of worry & he wasn't happy there either.Unless they have been more selective of their staff I wouldn't recommend. Most of the food dispensenced on Corell, a tablespoon @ a time. examples oatmeal applesauce finely chopped stew, portions were small for a man.

High staff turnover

Due to unqualified aides not paying attention, Dad fell and resulted in hospitalization then rehab. Shortly thereafter was in hospice care all seemed from his fall. [name removed] the office manager is good, but there is lots of staff turn over. Unqualified aides who do not interact with staff. Never ever did I see activities. Snacks were never given unless you brought them. Everyone sirs in living room. Literally no interaction. My father hated every moment he was there.

I visited this facility

I toured Dulaney Valley Assisted Living at Hunt Valley for my mother-in-law. The facility is a little bit more on the smaller side, and I was expecting more. But once I've learned about the primary goal of the facility, I think it's very adequate. People with more advanced age and memory loss don't really need to run around and do activities, so this facility is more suitable for them. It's very clean and well organized, it looks like it's all caught up with all the state regulations. All o…
